Table d'hotes

Table d'hotes is available at 24 hours notice.  Vegetables and meat are  locally produced and sourced where possible and are subject to seasonal available.  Please let us know any allergies or dietary specifics.   These menus are to give you an idea of what we serve.   You can choose but it is one choice not mixed.   

Generally we like to surprise you with our choice of the day!

Dinner and Menu Rapide

If you want to eat with us (Table d'hotes) we need 24 hours notice as produce is locally sourced on the day.  Everything you will eat for dinner is home made.

 All menus are subject to change depending on seasonal availability of produce and vegetables

We also need to know of any allergies or dietary specifics you may have - its not a problem we can cater for all ..


Table d'hotes is a 3 course meal - Entree, Plat Principal and dessert served with a glass of red wine (rose or white if you prefer) and coffee or tea to finish.  l'Ancien Relais de Poste has a charge of 25 Euros per person and 12 Euros for children under 12 (the same menu will be served)

There is a supplement of  5 Euro  for the Menu Perigordine.


Our French clients ask if it's 'English' cooking and I respond "no its cosmopolitan"   which it is.

Wild Mushroom Rissoto


Plat (Main course)

BIG Pork Chop with mushroom and cream sauce.  Served with pan fried potatoes and green beans with cepes

Chicken breast in white wine sauce served on a bed of wild rice accompanied with broccoli

Beef Bourguignon served with creamy mash and caramilised carrots

Cassoulet a hearty winter meal with beans, smoked bacon, sausage, garlic sausage and duck - its a self service meal so you can eat as much as you want - it's a challenge

Blanquette de Veau  locally reared rose veal stewed with carrots and mushrooms in a creamy white sauce.  Served with mixed rice.

Sunday Roast/Any day Roast

Stuffed roast free range chicken accompanied by roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, caramelised carrots, gravy (sauce).

Vegetarian/Vegan Menu

We can prepare anything you want but as I have 2 vegetarian sons. they would recommend this meal as  one of their favourites!


Indian Menu

Entree

Pakora (you might know them as Bhagee  but that's the western term)  I like to give you a mixture so 1 Onion, 1 red pepper, 1 mushroom pakora on a bed of salad with seasonal additions.

Plat

Sweet potato and spinach curry (you say how hot!)  Served with buttery cardomom fluffy rice

This is accompanied by condiments - ' tomato chutney,onion chutney, cucumber raita and paratha flat bread

Dessert 

Fruit Kulfi (creamy frozen dessert with seasonal fruit)
